Paul was one of seven children. He had three brothers (Earl, Rex, Tom "Lee") and three sisters (Inez, Nina "Barbara", Jane). (Pictured right with sister Inez and mother Goldie)
He was born a farmers son and knew the ways of using his hands. He became a an entrepreneur by the depression and then a carpenter by trade. (Rex, the youngest, Paul and Earl, the eldest) He married the girl of his dreams Martha Louise Jones. He had two son's Thomas Litten and Billy Lee Litten only to lose Thomas at an early age. He had a glib tongue and his family and friends often found themselves working with him in his newest endeavor. He was a involved parent taking part in his son's life, becoming a cub master (rather a noisy father according to Billy). (Pictured with Martha and son Billy)
He became the foster parent to several children in his retirement and then on to head of the home owners association in Carson City. Footloose he move from Elletsville, to Chicago, to Los Angeles, to Mammoth Lakes, to Carson City then finally retiring in his 80's to Agua Dulce. (Foster daughters Barbie, Paul, Tina and Martha) Paul's favorite pass time was fishing and hunting. He did this every summer, hiking around Shasta Lake in Northern California, Mammoth to Carson in the Nevada's. During his semi-retirement he parked a trailer at the Ruby Marsha's in Nevada and spend his summers filling his freezers for the winter. He finally gave this up as he turned 80 his Parkinson's started getting the best of him.
Grandpa Paul we miss you. |
